Every drink at Playa Grande Tacos & Tequila in one place: eight signature creations in sculpted tiki mugs, house margaritas and daiquiris in eleven flavors, micheladas, cold beer, three candy-named shots, and zero-proof aguas frescas. Here is how to find the one that fits your mood.
The bar at a glance
The bar at Playa Grande, at W186N9515 Bancroft Dr, Menomonee Falls, WI 53051 in Menomonee Falls, runs on a simple idea: fresh citrus, house syrups, real spirits and a lot of personality in the glass. The menu falls into five families, and each has its own long-form guide on this blog.
1. Signature drinks ($13–$19)
These are the showstoppers, served in sculpted mugs shaped like a cobra, an octopus, a fish, a pineapple and a coconut. There are eight, and the one-by-one guide to every signature drink has ingredients, tasting notes and food pairings for each.
- Blue Lagoon — $15
- Wild Berry Tulum — $13
- Beso de Cobra — $15
- Playa Norte — $13
- Días de Cabo — $16
- Captain Agave — $17
- Café Loco — $17
- Horchata Loca — $19
2. House margaritas and daiquiris
House margaritas are $10 (medium) or $14 (large), daiquiris are $9, and an extra flavor adds $1.50. The signature-drinks sheet lists eleven flavors: Strawberry, Blueberry, Blackberry, Raspberry, Watermelon, Prickly pear, Peach, Passion fruit, Mango, Pineapple, Piña colada. Read the complete flavor guide to pick yours.

3. Micheladas ($11 and $17)
A classic Michelada is $11; the loaded Michelada Preparada is $17. Both are covered in the micheladas, beer and shots guide.
4. Beer and shots
Mexican beer is $5 and American beer is $4.50. Shots are $6 each: Scooby Doo, Victoria Secret and Jolly Rancher.
5. Zero-proof
Aguas frescas are made for anyone skipping alcohol, designated drivers and kids alike. See the aguas frescas guide.
How to choose: pick by mood
- Something fruity and photogenic: Wild Berry Tulum or Beso de Cobra.
- Tart and refreshing: Playa Norte or Blue Lagoon.
- Sunny and sweet-sour: Días de Cabo.
- Tropical with fresh mint: Captain Agave.
- Dessert in a glass: Café Loco.
- Slow-sipping and premium: Horchata Loca.
- Classic and easy: a house margarita in your favorite fruit.
- Savory and spicy: a Michelada.
- Cold and simple: a Mexican cerveza.
Pairing drinks with food
Citrus-driven drinks like Blue Lagoon and Playa Norte are at their best next to seafood and Mexican sushi. Rich, savory plates such as birria want something bright (a margarita) or something creamy to finish (Horchata Loca or Café Loco). Spicy dishes love a cold beer or a chilled agua fresca.
